Woodycrest involved an extensive gut renovation of the existing brick house, along with a prominent two-storey, 20-foot deep rear addition. Unlike typical rear elevations, this design by Asquith Architecture, transforms the backyard garden space into an outdoor focal point. The rear elevation features a warm and inviting blend of dark Mabec wood siding, white ACM panels, and natural cedar cladding.
Close collaboration with trades was essential to ensure impeccable installation of the exterior materials. A high-level craftsmanship was required to achieve both the aesthetic goals and a durable, energy-efficient building envelope.
The interior showcases standout features, particularly in the washrooms, each with its unique characteristics. The basement includes a steam shower with built-in speakers, while the second-floor washroom is notable for its Japanese soaker tub. In the primary ensuite, the free-standing tub is perfectly positioned for serene views of the backyard.
